Hackathon Sename x iamtheCODE – November 2025
From November 6 to 8, 2025, the Sename Foundation and IamtheCODE joined forces for an exciting Hackathon at the Collaborative Space of UNIPOD, University of Abomey-Calavi.
Objective: bring together young talents from Benin to design innovative digital solutions addressing the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Over three days, participants were supported by inspiring mentors, took part in thematic conferences and had the opportunity to create, collaborate and make an impact.
This initiative reflects the Foundation’s mission to train, empower and promote the inclusion of youth—especially girls and women—through technology and innovation.
Beyond the competition, this event was a true moment of transformation, a journey of young people learning, creating, collaborating and proving once again that the future of our continent is written in Africa itself.
Through the partnership between Sename Foundation and IamtheCODE, we’re unlocking new opportunities for Benin’s youth: 65,000 free courses and 300,000 coding licenses to equip young people, especially girls, with future-ready digital skills.
This hackathon united brilliant minds around the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and marked the start of a movement — a Benin where youth use code and AI to build the solutions of tomorrow.
Together, we are igniting 300,000 sparks of change.
